Those two facts are frequently strung together to imply that wearing the stone has some effect on mood, anxiety, or depression. It does not. The lithium in a lepidolite bead is bound in a mineral lattice, it is not bioavailable, and wearing it is not a treatment for anything.

Does the lithium in lepidolite do anything?
