Here is the honest chain of reasoning, because chrysocolla is a stone where a lot of sites will hand you a correspondence with no working shown. Chrysocolla is a copper mineral. Copper, in Cunningham and in the older planetary tables, belongs to Venus and the element of Water: the metal of harmony, of receptivity, of the gentler kind of love. Chrysocolla inherits that association through its chemistry rather than through a separate lineage of its own.

What modern practice has added is the throat. The blue-green range puts it in the same territory as turquoise and aquamarine, and practitioners have taken it up for the work of finding a voice: saying the difficult thing, saying it kindly, saying it at all. Is chrysocolla the same as turquoise?

No. They overlap in color and they are both copper-bearing, but they are different minerals. Chrysocolla is generally softer and more porous, which is why it needs gentler handling.

Can I wear it in the shower?

Please do not. Chrysocolla is soft and porous. Water, soap, and salt will all dull it over time. Take it off.

Why do the beads not match?

Because the stone does not. Chrysocolla varies from blue to green within a single deposit, sometimes within a single bead. Matched beads would mean a treated or reconstituted stone.

Does chrysocolla balance emotions?
