The design marries two vocabularies: the runes, the angular letters the Germanic peoples carved for writing and, by the sagas' own testimony, for more than writing, and the Flower of Life, the overlapping-circle geometry the modern sacred-geometry tradition reads as a generative pattern. Composed together they make a working surface for the rune-caster's table, the letters underfoot as lots are drawn and thrown, and a handsome square for altar or shoulders besides. The cloth awakens nothing on its own, as we say plainly of every printed textile; it spreads two old symbol languages across a yard of fabric and lets the practice bring the meaning.
