Septarian is geology's own kintsugi: mud balls on ancient seafloors dried and cracked, and mineral-rich water sealed the cracks with golden calcite and brown aragonite, leaving the dark stone veined in amber light. The trade calls it dragon stone for the scaled look of the banding, a name we pass on as the nickname it is, and the crystal tradition files it under grounding and steady change, the root-level register of a stone that is literally a healed break. The flame cut plays the veining upward like fire through the dark matrix, which makes the piece a shelf anchor and a better metaphor than most: cracked, sealed, and stronger-looking for it.
