"Protected by" stickers began as security-company boilerplate, and the craft's version is the genre's best inversion: the same deadpan format, a rather different underwriter. The pentacle border does double duty, to fellow practitioners it reads as a friendly flag on the highway, and to everyone else it supplies exactly the ambiguity that makes the joke land. Whether any actual warding rides along is between you and your practice; the vinyl itself, we cheerfully confirm, performs none.
