The evil eye is a genuinely old and genuinely widespread idea, and the traditions around it are living ones. In Mediterranean and Middle Eastern practice the response is often a blue eye charm or a hamsa; in South Asia it may be kajal on a child; in Latin American folk Catholicism, mal de ojo has its own diagnostic and its own remedies, frequently involving an egg, a prayer, and a person who knows how to do it properly.

That last part matters. In a great many communities, treating mal de ojo is done by a specific person with standing to do it, and the knowledge is passed within families rather than published. Do the pheromones actually work?

Not in the way the marketing around such products usually implies, and we would rather be straight with you. There is no reliable evidence that human pheromone additives influence other people's attraction or behavior. The pheromone content is a feature of this product family; treat the perfume as a traditional dressing oil rather than a chemical shortcut.

Will it stop someone from envying me?
