The Spiritual Significance
Earth-as-Mother is one of humanity's oldest religious ideas, running from ancient earth goddesses through indigenous land ethics into modern paganism's reverence for the living world. The sticker's line distills the whole tradition into a bumper-length ethic: the ground is kin, so act like it. Displayed on a vehicle, of all places, it carries a wink of self-awareness along with its sincerity, which is very much in the spirit of the pagan sticker tradition. It is vinyl and a message, not a working; the respect it asks for is practiced in how you live, and drive.
Step by step
How To Use
- Clean the spot. Vinyl bonds best to a washed, dried bumper.
- Apply and smooth. Work from one edge to chase out bubbles.
- Live up to it. The sticker makes the request; the driver keeps it.
