A flat polished round of shungite is the dark twin of the selenite charging plate: where the tradition rests stones on the bright gypsum to clear them, it sets cups, candles, and crystals on the black carbon for the grounding register, the root-level plate of the practice's furniture. Shungite's honest story carries the piece, two billion years old, nearly pure carbon, from one region of Russian Karelia and nowhere else, with the genuine trace fullerenes that made the stone a scientific curiosity, and the market's EMF claims stay off our label as always. As a coaster it does honest table duty; as an altar plate it anchors the working's darkest station.
