Shungite has no long lineage in Western magical practice, and pretending otherwise would be doing you a disservice. It is absent from Cunningham and from the older correspondence tables. What it has is a modern reputation, built quickly and held firmly, as a stone for grounding and for shielding.

The symbolism is not hard to follow. Carbon is the stuff living things are made of. A stone this black absorbs rather than returns, which makes it a natural stand-in for the work of holding what you do not want to carry in your own body. That is a real use, and it does not require the stone to do anything but sit there being black and heavy in the imagination.

Will mine look like the photo?

No, and it is not supposed to. Every stone is tumbled individually, so shape, size, and surface vary piece to piece. If you want uniform beads, the 8mm stretch bracelet is the one you want.

Does shungite support the immune system?

No. That claim appears all over the internet and it is not supported. We sell this as spiritual jewelry and a symbolic tool for grounding and protection work, and nothing more.

Why does it feel so light?

Carbon content. Shungite is far less dense than most black stones, which is one of the simplest tells that it is genuine.

Can I wear it every day?

Yes. Wipe it with a dry cloth as needed. New shungite can leave a faint dark mark on skin, which fades with wear and washes off.
