Return-to-sender sits in nearly every folk tradition under one principle: what was sent is refused and released back, no more and no less. The custom's own ethics are worth keeping plainly, protection work stays cleanest when it guards your own and turns harm away rather than striking outward; the working declines a burden rather than mailing a new one. The kit's format follows the tradition: the space cleared, the refusal named, the candle burned in sittings, the herbs dished beside it, the talisman carried after as the working's reminder.
