Each stone here holds a settled seat in modern practice's clearing file. Selenite, gypsum named for Selene, is the tradition's cleanser-of-cleansers, the stone said never to need clearing itself, though it must be kept dry, since gypsum softens in water. Rutilated quartz, clear quartz threaded with golden rutile needles, is kept for focus and the amplifying of intention. Shungite, the carbon-black stone from Karelia, holds the modern grounding-and-shielding seat. And clear quartz is the tradition's all-purpose amplifier, the stone that joins any working.
