The pentacle, the five pointed star bound in its circle, is the central emblem of modern witchcraft and Wicca, its points most commonly read as earth, air, fire, water, and spirit held in balance, the circle binding them whole. Drawing it interwoven, each line passing over and under the next without beginning or end, is the old way, the same continuous-line logic that made the pentagram a protective sign in traditions reaching back to antiquity. Worn at the chest it is the practice's plainest declaration, and silver has always been the craft's metal of choice for it, the moon's metal for the star of the elements. The pendant does no work of its own; it declares and reminds, which is the honest lifelong job of devotional jewelry.

1. Hang it from your preferred chain or cord; the bail takes both.
2. Wear it daily as the practice's emblem, or keep it for ritual wear.
3. Polish occasionally with a soft cloth; sterling develops honest patina with wear and brightens right back up.

Is it really sterling silver?

Yes, 925 sterling. Like all real sterling it will patina with time and wear, and a soft polishing cloth restores the shine; we would rather tell you that than call it tarnish-proof.

What does interwoven mean here?

The star's lines pass over and under one another as one continuous line within the circle, the traditional protective way of drawing the pentacle.
