The Spiritual Significance
Compassion is less a feeling that arrives than a practice you return to, the choice to stay open when it would be easier to harden. Warm colors like peach belong to that softening work, the heart's gentler register, and a candle gives the practice a small, steady focus. This votive is hand-poured by Crystal Journey and charged with Reiki, a Japanese energy practice founded by Mikao Usui, so it arrives already set with a gentle intention to layer with your own. Many light it before a difficult conversation, for self-forgiveness when the inner critic sharpens, or during loving-kindness meditation. The candle focuses your own intention rather than acting on its own; it simply keeps you company while you stretch the heart a little wider.
Step by step
How To Use
- Cleanse and set up. Pass cleansing smoke over the votive and set it in a votive holder on a heat-safe surface.
- Set your intention. Name where your compassion is flowing today: toward yourself, toward someone specific, toward a hard situation.
- Light it and settle. Light the wick, settle into your practice, and let the warm flame hold the space while you open the heart.
- Burn it safely. Never leave a burning candle unattended, keep it clear of anything flammable, and use a proper votive holder.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Compassion votive for?
It is a peach herbal votive for heart-opening, softening work: self-forgiveness, loving-kindness meditation, or steadying yourself before a difficult conversation. Peach belongs to the heart's gentler register.
What does Reiki charged mean?
The candle has been blessed by a trained Reiki practitioner who channels energy into the wax before it ships, so it arrives carrying a gentle compassion intention to layer with your own.
How is it different from the Compassion pillar?
The votive is a smaller size for a single session, while the pillar burns much longer for sustained or deeper work. Both serve the same compassion intention; choose by burn length.
What size is it?
It is a votive, meant to be burned in a votive holder. The size suits a single meditation or moment rather than a long, multi-day burn.
How do I burn it safely?
Set it in a votive holder on a heat-safe surface away from anything flammable, and never leave a burning candle unattended.
